Amman – Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences has entered the realm of smart cards through a recent agreement with Cairo Amman Bank to convert the university identity cards of students, faculty members, and administrators into multi-purpose smart cards.

By undertaking this initiative, Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences aligns itself with other universities benefiting from Cairo Amman Bank’s innovative service in the local banking sector, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing top-tier amenities to its students.

The agreement was signed by CEO Dr. Kamal Al-Bakri on behalf of Cairo Amman Bank and by the university’s president, Prof. Dr. Darwish Badran, representing Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences.

Cairo Amman Bank has successfully established a robust and effective partnership between the economic and higher education sectors, serving the nation’s interests, supporting the comprehensive development process, and benefiting its people and institutions.

The multi-purpose smart university card serves as an identification card that allows holders to access various university facilities. Additionally, it functions as a payment card, enabling holders to make payments at all points of sale inside and outside Jordan, shop online, and withdraw cash.

Smart university cardholders can also recharge their cards at Cairo Amman Bank branches throughout the Kingdom and through electronic payment kiosks, which will be installed on the university campus in the near future.

Moreover, cardholders can enjoy discounts when using their cards at a wide network of shops partnered with the bank across the Kingdom.
