Cairo Amman Bank Participates in the Green Growth Summit Organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Cairo Amman Bank participated in the Green Growth Summit in Jordan organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at the Four Seasons Hotel – Amman.

The event was attended by Gretchen Pieri, Director and Head of the Eastern Mediterranean Region at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Minister of Environment Dr. Muawiya Radaideh, the EU Head of Cooperation and the European Union Delegation to Jordan, Patrick Lambrechts, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in addition to representatives of the Central Bank of Jordan, the public and private sectors, and the banking sector.

Cairo Amman Bank’s participation in the discussion session highlighted the bank’s role in the field of green finance, particularly in supporting sustainable projects, emphasizing the importance of facilitating investment in clean energy, and the crucial role of financial education in raising awareness about green finance and enabling beneficiaries of these programs to adopt sustainable and practical solutions.

The participants in the summit discussed the impact of the bank’s green finance initiatives in Jordan and its contributions in this field. The discussions focused in particular on the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) and the Trade Facilitation Program (TFP). These programs help individuals and small and medium enterprises adopt sustainable technologies and support the transition to a sustainable and environmentally friendly economy.
